Monday I get to start 75 Hard with an accountability group.

2 workouts a day. 45-minutes each. Must be 3 hours apart. 1 must be outside.

Read 10 pages of a nonfiction/personal development book daily.

Drink 1 gallon of water each day.

Follow a diet plan.

No junk food. No alcohol. No cheat meals.

For 75 Days.

 

When I was in the best shape of my post-35 life, I had a 302 day streak of never missing a workout and eating well. I'm ready to recreate that in my 40s. I need something like this to remind myself that I can STILL do hard things. Today marks my 3 Month Wedding Anniversary and the past 3 months have definitely been full of honeymooning. Emphasis on the honey!!!

We've been celebrating for what seems to be a continuous 90-days. When my friend Jose said he's putting together an accountability group that starts October 9th, I knew in my heart that I was all in. I actually told myself I was going to start sooner, and that was 40 days ago. While I made some adjustments like cutting out alcohol, I have not been perfect. And with this challenge, there's no room for slip ups, you just fail and start over at Day 1.

Over these 75 days, we will have Thanksgiving, 3 Wedding celebrations, my 41st Birthday and a couple other big events and trips. I'm doing this now to reaffirm I am in control and that I can still enjoy myself at events and keep to my personal commitments. It's going to be hard. That's the point. And I'm actually looking forward to it.
